Woodhill Sands - Health & Safety

Woodhill Sands Equestrian Centre is owned and operated by the Woodhill Sands Trust and is an equine based undertaking, providing an all year-round competition and training facility. This includes arenas, covered yards, outdoor yards, truck and float parking, and a cross country course.

Woodhill Sands Trust takes their Health and Safety obligations seriously and encourages everyone to be part of this process that is involved in their business, and/or participating in activities run on the property, or where work is being undertaken.

There are a number of documents and processes which provide the Health and Safety framework that supports the operations of the venue and support the Trust to meet it's obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.

Please note that the venue has a speed limit of 10km at ALL times. The venue has a no dog rule, which includes not having dogs on site but in a vehicle. Please park on the grass by the toilets or on the grass between the rock wall and automated gates (ground conditions permitting). No passenger cars should be parked in the float/truck parking areas.

No tying horses to fences or leading from horse back (ponying). Yellow tagged helmets must be worn at all times whilst mounted and there are to be no horses on the sand track behind the office or in front of the kiosk. Horses should move to the western arena's by walking along the sand track on the SH16 side of the venue and you should only walk your horse.

There is a curfew of 10pm with no access to arenas or the office area after this time. Please no loud music after this time.
