On Saturday the 7th and Sunday the 8th of December we are holding the Support our Sands Woodhill Sands Summer Fundraising Grand Prix Show Jumping show. We've been overwhelmed by the response from our community and wanted to provide you with an update on the show and how you can help.  We're looking forward to the weekend and can't wait to welcome you.

On Saturday the 7th and Sunday the 8th of December we have a show with a new idea we're trying.  As you may know, the economic downturn and rising costs impacting many businesses across New Zealand have also placed significant financial pressure on Woodhill Sands. To help address some of these difficulties, we recently held a community meeting to discuss possible solutions.  We had a great turn out and lots of wonderful suggestions.  One of the ideas raised was to host a fundraising show.  We are having this weekend on at our December GP Show Jumping Show.  Come an join us at the Support our Sands Woodhill Sands Summer Fundraising Grand Prix Show Jumping.

It’s been a busy time at Woodhill Sands since our last update.  Check out the most recent news from the Trust and information from our recent community meeting.

Woodhill Sands Trust is registered under The Charitable Trusts Act and worked in collaboration with equestrian sport and the local community to purchase the venue that now belongs to the sport.  The Trust has been working hard to manage the venue for you, our riding community and it is important to highlight that this is your venue. 

Grand Prix Show Jumping Summer Series

We're excited to be starting our 2024/25 ESNZ Show Jumping season.  We've got a number of GP SJ shows planned starting in August and through the summer till February.  All the popular ESNZ jumping series classes are back with Junior Rider, Young Rider,  Amateur Rider and Pro Am Rider series starting in Spring to be joined with the Horse and Pony Grand Prix from our first summer GP SJ show in October.  We also have a number of the age series classes later in the year. In addition to all the great ESNZ series running at our shows, Woodhill Sands has 4 of its own series running starting at these Spring Shows.  This includes our popular Horse and Pony Super Series, plus we also have the Masters League series and the Pony Futurity Series.

We are also holding the Auckland Cup Series which will be available for Horses and Ponies.  The rules for this can be viewed here.  This series will be run at Woodhill Sands Grand Prix shows and the final will be held at the Woodhill Sands Auckland Show Jumping Champs at Woodhill Sands in February 2025.
