Sport and Recreation Facility Investment Fund Success
In November 2019, the Woodhill Sands Trust began the process of applying to the Auckland Council Sport and Recreation Facility Investment fund for the development of the facilities at Woodhill Sands. It's been quite an involved process, interrupted by COVID 19 and lock downs, but with the endorsement of the Rodney Local Board we are thrilled to announce that we have been successful in being approved for $372,000 in funding towards the capital development of our competition surface, ablutions area and some key health and safety improvements.
We're just working through all the details currently, but will keep the riding community updated as we progress this work. It can be challenging getting funding at the moment given the difficulties that COVID has bought, but we are really appreciative of the support of this fund and look forward to sharing with everyone the improvements this will make to our riders experience at the venue.
