The Woodhill Sands Trust is pleased to announce the appointment of four additional Trustees to the Board of Trustees. These Trustees were appointed by the Electoral College which is comprised of three members appointed by ESNZ, one member appointed by NZ Pony Clubs Incorporated and one member from a Charitable Trust or Incorporated society chosen by ESNZ (in this case a representative from Waitemata Riding Club).
The new Trustees are; Jane Burmester, Philippa Fourie, Tony Bult and Lloyd Cartwright. Details about our new Trustees can be viewed here….
These Trustees join our existing Trustees; Kathryn Roberts, Glen Beal, Lesley Going and Judith Cunningham.
Jane is the current Director of Burmester Realty and Ray Burmester Equestrian Jewellery. In her spare time, Jane competes in Showjumping and Show Hunter, enjoys fishing, mountain biking, tramping and travel. Jane lives in Waimauku on an Equestrian Lifestyle property and has been involved in equestrian sport and a strong supporter of Woodhill Sands for many years.
Philippa currently enjoys a successful career in the private sector, developed through a variety of public sector roles. Philippa has ridden horses since she was around 3 years old, and has been through the Pony Club system, hunted, A&P shown, evented and these days’ show jumps. With solid commercial experience and knowledge of Local Government, Philippa is adept at bridging the worlds of commerce and community to deliver positive outcomes. Philippa is particularly passionate about roles that make a positive contribution to the lives of people and animals, through economic, environmental or social enhancement.
Tony started his involvement with equestrian sport at Pony Club on the committee before moving onto the Show Hunter Waitemata committee. As his children progressed through the sport he moved into Show Jumping. Tony has played a major role in running the World Cup Final for the past six years. While holding many working relationships in the equestrian world, Tony has been heavily involved in many of the improvements seen today at Woodhill Sands for the benefit of all equestrian groups. Tony is looking forward to working with a team of people to create and develop a world class equestrian facility for all equestrians to enjoy now and far into the future.
Lloyd brings a diverse commercial practicability to the Trust offering strong financial acumen, sales and leadership skills, with wide connections in the business and public sectors. Married to an avid equestrian, they have owned and cared for horses on their Kumeu property over the last 10 years and Lloyd takes an active role in the horses and equestrian sports in general. Lloyd is looking forward to the opportunity to give back and contribute to Equestrian sports.
I'm sure you will join us in welcoming our new Trustees to the Woodhill Sands team.
