Woodhill Sands Trust Newsletter - Resource Consent Update and Autumn calendar
Hello Woodhill Sands Community
Since our last update the team at Woodhill Sands, have been working hard to understand the various aspects of the interim decision and to investigate ways that the proposed conditions might be amended to support the venue to operate at a level which is viable and aligned to the original intention of supporting our wider riding community. This has involved discussions with the parties to the decision as well as our expert team of planners, legal counsel, and engineers.
There are a number of ongoing conversations required, between different groups regarding the decision and a number of areas still to be clarified. Given the range of parties needing to be consulted with and their availability, we have asked for an extension to the original date of 26th March to re-draft the conditions and submit to the court for a decision. There are some aspects of the interim decision causing confusion and to that end we are seeking clarification from the Court that will enable us to proceed with redrafting conditions. Unfortunately we cannot put a timeline on when we might hear back from the Court and we will update you further once we have a better understanding of this.
In the interim, we are continuing to operate and move forward with our programme – you may have seen on our FB Page that we have developed an Autumn Series of events which started over Easter and continue for the months of April and May. The booklet outlining these events can be viewed through the link later in this newsletter and you can now enter these shows through Evo Events https://www.evoevents.co.nz/ We have a number of your favourite series awards running over these dates with rosettes, covers and prizes up for grabs. These days are fun, relaxed and supportive so please check out the schedules and get your entries in! We have a number of exciting developments planned for the remainder of winter including a Woodhill Sands club in addition to a range of activities for the rest of the winter months. Keep an eye out on our FB page and our website for updates.
There is still a way to go in working through the resource consent issues, however, your support at this time is vitally important to Woodhill Sands and at this time has never been more essential to the venue and for our current and future riding community.
We will keep you updated as we have more information to share.
Check out the events in our Autumn Calendar and get onto Evo Events and book your entry!
Kind regards
