Welcome to the Veterinary Associates Equine Kumeu/West team.
Recently, Vet Associates Equine and Farm have joined our team of sponsors at Woodhill Sands.
Veterinary Associates also service the Kumeu and West/North Auckland area. They offer ambulatory services locally and can also see your horse for pre-purchase inspections or lameness evaluations at Woodhill Sands where you have the space and arena surfaces to support these examinations.
Their ambulatory services include routine vaccines, dental care, reproductive services, lameness evaluations, health and wellness checks, foal health checks, pre-purchase examinations, diagnostic imaging, and sick horse care right at home.
Whatever the problem, from the routine to emergency care, Veterinary Associates are happy to help.
Kaylin Touche and Ella Chappaz are the vets working from the Kumeu service.
A little bit about Kaylin
Kaylin is originally from Texas, where she grew up riding in a number of different disciplines. She attended veterinary school at Texas A&M before going on to practice in mixed animal medicine and emergency work. For the last three years, Kaylin has been enjoying equine practice in the southeastern United States, working with everything from backyard ponies to world class English sport horses, endurance horses, and reining horses. She is excited to be at Kumeu and will be joined by her husband, dog and cat. In their spare time, they enjoy hiking and fishing, and are looking forward to exploring their new home.
A little bit about Ella
Ella Chappaz is a French/Kiwi, who grew up in Toulouse, Auckland, Vancouver and Hamburg. More recently, Palmerston North has been home, graduating from Massey School of Veterinary Science followed by a 12 month internship at Massey University Equine Veterinary Clinic. Her training included experience working in equine hospitals in New Zealand, France and England. Horses have always been a passion, and time off for Ella means riding or shouldering a pack and heading up a mountain in the French Alps or an isolated valley in New Zealand. She is excited to join the fantastic team at Veterinary Associates, servicing the Kumeu and North Auckland region.
