 𝑺𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑺𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒔  𝑾𝒐𝒐𝒅𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝑺𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝑺𝒖𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒓 𝑭𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑮𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒙 𝑺𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝑱𝒖𝒎𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒈  

We’re thrilled to share the success of our recent fundraising show, which made a $17,000 contribution to our Survival Fund. A heartfelt thank you goes out to our incredible sponsors, suppliers, officials, staff, and helpers who generously donated their time, products, and efforts to make this event such a success.

Overall, the weekend achieved an impressive profit of $34,000. However, we must clarify that this show is part of our regular summer calendar. While we were delighted to generate an additional $17,000 beyond the usual funds earned at this event, Woodhill Sands' financial reality remains challenging. In addition to debt servicing, we must cover various operational costs, including phone, power, fuel, maintenance, and staff expenses. The funds generated from this fundraising event covered just over one month’s current mortgage payment. With the rest of our December shows being quieter than expected, these funds were essential to sustaining Y/OUR venue’s operations for the month.

At our upcoming Action Squad meeting, we’ll be discussing the total funds needed to sustain Woodhill Sands over the remainder of summer and the winter months and will share this target with you soon. We hope as many of you as possible can join us on the new meeting date: Wednesday, 29th January, at 6.30 pm at the same venue—Kumeu Cricket Club in Huapai.

Our small team is doing everything we can, but we need more help to get extra fundraising ideas up and running. Without this, we risk losing the venue that so many in our community rely on to ride and compete.
